The Ibadan Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has conducted a successful operation resulting in the arrest of thirty-six (36) individuals suspected of engaging in internet fraud.
This operation took place on Monday, February 26, 2024, in the Gbokoniyin and Yetedo areas of Abeokuta, Ogun State, following thorough investigation and actionable intelligence gathered by the Commission.
Among the items seized during the operation are nine luxury vehicles, fourteen (14) laptops, forty-nine (49) mobile phones, and various other potentially incriminating documents.
The agency said the suspects will be formally charged in court upon the completion of investigations
