The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has confirmed the handover of Joseph Efe, a 30-year-old suspect from Ondo State, by the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), FCT Command.
This was confirmed by the FCT Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh
Efe was arrested on September 17, 2024, in connection with the alleged kidnapping, robbery, and attempted murder of Olivia Ijeoma Chukwuemeka, a 25-year-old woman from Abia State.
According to reports, Efe allegedly confined the victim in a room at Top View Hotel, Wuse, where she was gagged, and her limbs were bound with tape, as seen in viral video footage suggesting the crime was for ritual purposes.
The FCT Police Command has initiated a discreet investigation and reiterated its commitment to working with other security agencies to combat crime in the Federal Capital Territory.
