The Federal Government has felicitated with Christian faithful across the country on the occasion of Christmas, describing the season as one of love, sacrifice and hope.
In a statement, the government said the values associated with Christmas serve as a reminder for Nigerians to care for one another, remain united and sustain faith in the nation, even in the face of prevailing challenges.
The message, signed by the Honourable Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, fnipr, concluded with prayers for a merry Christmas, a prosperous New Year, and continued blessings for the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
The statement noted that the patience, resilience and hard work of Nigerians would not be taken for granted, assuring citizens that their sacrifices would not be in vain.
According to the government, the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, remains committed to building a safer, stronger and more prosperous Nigeria for the benefit of all citizens.
The Federal Government also urged Nigerians to remember those facing hardships during the festive period, particularly families affected by acts of terror, while acknowledging the sacrifices of security personnel who continue to protect lives, property and the country from various threats.
It further called on citizens to use the Christmas season to promote peace, kindness and unity within their homes and communities.
