Major General Valentine Okoro, the General Officer Commanding of the 2 Division Nigerian Army, has emphasized the imperative for officers and soldiers within the 4 Brigade Nigerian Army to display unwavering commitment and the utmost level of professional expertise in the execution of their constitutionally assigned duties. This charge was delivered during his official visit to the operational jurisdiction of the 4 Brigade in Benin City on the 15th of August, 2023.
Addressing the assembly, General Okoro expressed his commendation for Brigadier General Danlami Ndahi, the Commander of the 4 Brigade, and his contingent, lauding their adept conduct throughout the course of the 2023 general elections. He further extended his appreciation towards the Commander for his initiatives in refurbishing and upgrading deteriorated facilities within the Cantonment. General Okoro also pledged his commitment to build upon the strides made by the Commander in enhancing accommodations and amenities, including essentials like water and electricity, for the troops stationed at NA Cantonment Ekehaun.
The General Officer Commanding undertook visits to the 4 Brigade Garrison and the 322 Artillery Regiment. Here, he was briefed by Lieutenant Colonel A. Chinedu, the Garrison Commander, and Lieutenant Colonel A.O. Adewara, the Commanding Officer of the 322 Artillery Regiment.
