Governor Okpebholo dissolves board, terminates political appointments

The Governor of Edo State, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has ordered the immediate dissolution of all executive boards, agencies, and parastatals within the state’s public service.

The announcement was issued by Hon. Fred Itua, Chief Press Secretary to the Edo State Governor.

In a sweeping decision, the governor also announced that all permanent secretaries appointed from outside the state’s public or civil service, along with all political appointees, are now relieved of their duties.

Those affected by the dissolution are instructed to promptly hand over government assets in their possession to the highest-ranking public officer within their respective ministries, departments, and agencies.
