The House of Representatives has extended warm wishes to all Nigerians as the nation welcomes the new year, 2025. Reflecting on the challenges and triumphs of 2024, the House commended the resilience of Nigerians and called for collective action to foster unity, hope, and progress.
In a statement Spokesman, House of Representatives Rep. Akin Rotimi Jr. said in his New Year message, Speaker Rt. Hon. Abbas Tajudeen, PhD, GCON, expressed optimism about the nation’s future under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR. “The year 2025 presents an opportunity for positive change,” he said, urging Nigerians to support leaders at all levels and remain united.
The Speaker reiterated the House’s dedication to addressing critical national issues through its 2023–2027 Legislative Agenda, prioritizing security, economic empowerment, education, healthcare, and social justice. “Our commitment is to ensure tangible improvements in the lives of all Nigerians, particularly the most vulnerable,” he stated.
As 2025 begins, the House prayed for peace and prosperity in every household, reaffirming its pledge to work towards a stronger and better Nigeria.
