IGP appoints CP Ibrahim Bakori as Kano state commissioner of police

The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Kayode Egbetokun, has approved the appointment of CP Ibrahim Adamu Bakori, fipma, mnim, as the new Commissioner of Police for Kano State Command.

According to Force Public Relations Officer, Force Headquarters, Abuja ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, CP Bakori, a seasoned officer with extensive experience in operations, intelligence, and security management, has served in various key roles, including Principal Staff Officer to the IGP and Commissioner of Police in the Homicide Section of the Force Criminal Investigation Department.

His broad expertise positions him well to lead the Kano State Command effectively.

The IGP tasked CP Bakori with enhancing security and consolidating the achievements of his predecessor. He is expected to strengthen community policing initiatives and foster collaboration with stakeholders to boost public trust and safety in the state.

The Nigeria Police Force called on the people of Kano State to support CP Bakori in carrying out his duties.
