The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun, has approved the appointment of CSP Benjamin Hundeyin as the new Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO).
In a statement signed the Outgoing Force Public Relations Officer, Force Headquarters, DCP Olumuyiwa Adejobi said CSP Hundeyin, a seasoned communicator and security professional, holds degrees in English Language from Lagos State University and in Legal Criminology & Security Psychology from the University of Ibadan. He has also obtained professional certifications in civil-military coordination, public relations, and personnel management.
He previously served as Police PRO at Zone 2 Headquarters, Lagos, and at the Lagos State Police Command. He was part of Nigeria’s contingent to the United Nations Peacekeeping Mission in Darfur (UNAMID) in 2020, and also worked as an Administration Officer at the Force Headquarters, Abuja.
The IGP tasked CSP Hundeyin to leverage his expertise to strengthen the Force’s public relations and foster constructive engagement with citizens.
He takes over from DCP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, who served as the outgoing Force PRO.
