Detectives from the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) of the Lagos State Police Command have apprehended 48-year-old Charles Chukwudi for forgery and impersonation.
Police Public Relations Officer, Lagos State Command, Ikeja SP Benjamin Hundeyin said Chukwudi was arrested after a meticulous investigation revealed he was issuing fake court documents to the public.
Found in his possession forged official stamps from Chief Magistrate Admin C/M Adeola Olatunbosun of Chief Magistrate Court I Yaba and Magistrate A.B Ajiferuke of Magistrate Court Epe. Additionally, he had a fake police identity card and a photoshopped image of himself in a police uniform.
The investigation was initiated after court officials discovered his fraudulent activities and reported to the police. Chukwudi was apprehended at Tinubu Court, Lagos Island. He has since been arraigned.
