MNJTF hands over quick impact projects to communities of sector 3 – Monguno

In a significant stride towards improving the lives of the residents of Monguno, Borno State, Nigeria, the Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF) officially handed over a series of vital community projects on September 29, 2023.

According to Military Public Information Officer Ndjamena, Chad Abubakar Abdullahi, the ceremony, marked by a spirit of collaboration and hope, saw the inauguration of two blocks of classrooms at Gana Ali Primary School, a solar-powered borehole at Monguno Dispensary, and two manual boreholes, complemented by the provision of two rooms designated as a maternity and consultation area at the dispensary.

The much-anticipated event was graced by the presence of Deputy Force Commander, Air Vice Marshal Yaya Mahamat, representing Force Commander Maj Gen Ibrahim Sallau Ali. Air Vice Marshal Mahamat, in his address to the gathering, expressed profound gratitude to COGINTA and the European Union for their invaluable contributions that made these projects possible. Additionally, he appealed to the local populace to collaborate closely with the military and other security agencies, emphasizing the need to eliminate any remnants of terrorist elements in the region.

Speaking at the ceremony, Alhaji Kyari Ibrahim, the Chairman of Monguno Local Government, extended heartfelt appreciation to the MNJTF for their dedication and pledged unwavering support from the local authority for all operations aimed at restoring peace in the area. These projects, he noted, marked a substantial stride in enhancing education and healthcare facilities in Monguno, promising a brighter future for its residents.
