NAF airstrikes kill 15 terrorists in Sambisa

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has neutralised more than 15 terrorists in a precision airstrike on a newly identified hideout west of Zuwa in the Sambisa general area.

According to a statement issued on 4 September 2025 by Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, Director of Public Relations and Information, the operation was conducted on 3 September under the Air Component of Operation Hadin Kai.

Ejodame said the mission, based on credible intelligence and confirmatory surveillance, targeted fighters and commanders linked to recent hostilities around Bitta. The air interdiction destroyed key structures critical to the terrorists’ operations.

He noted that the success underscores NAF’s commitment to safeguarding lives and property while supporting ground forces in dismantling terrorist networks across the North-East.

“The Nigerian Air Force continues to stand as a symbol of vigilance, professionalism, and decisive airpower in defence of national security. Every successful strike brings Nigeria one step closer to lasting peace,” Ejodame said.
