On Thursday, March 7, 2024, a Nigerian Air Force (NAF) Super Mushshak trainer aircraft was involved in a minor mishap.
Confirming the incident, Director of Public Relations and Information for the Nigerian Air Force, Air Vice Marshal Edward Gabkwet, stated that the event occurred at approximately 2:35 PM, around 3.5 nautical miles from the Kaduna Military airfield.
He said the aircraft was carrying two pilots who were returning from a routine training flight.
Gabkwet said both pilots emerged from the crash unharmed.
In response to the incident, the Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Hasan Abubakar, has directed a preliminary investigation to determine the immediate cause of the mishap.
