The National Assembly has commenced a critical mediation meeting to resolve the ongoing conflict between the Federal Government and the leadership of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and Trade Union Congress (TUC).
According to a statement jointly signed by Senate Spokesman Senator Yemi Adaramodu and House Spokesman Rep. Akin Rotimi Jr., the mediation, led by key figures in the National Assembly, includes Senate President Senator Godswill Akpabio, House Speaker Rt. Hon. Abbas Tajudeen, PhD, Deputy Senate President Senator Jibrin Barau, Senate Leader Senator Opeyemi Bamidele, House Leader Rep. Julius Ihonvbere, and the Chairmen of the Senate and House Committees on Labour, Employment and Productivity, Senator Diket Plang and Rep. Gboyega Adefarati, respectively, among other legislators.
