The Chief of the Naval Staff (CNS), Vice Admiral Emmanuel Ikechukwu Ogalla, has commissioned 36 new flats for the Senior Ratings of the Nigerian Navy in Kubwa, Abuja. The newly completed apartments consist of six blocks with 12 spacious three-bedroom units and 18 two-bedroom flats.

Before cutting the ribbon, Vice Admiral Ogalla emphasized the Navy’s dedication to improving the welfare of its personnel. “This measure demonstrates our commitment to enhancing the welfare of our Navy personnel,” he stated. He also highlighted that similar housing projects have been initiated across the nation and are nearing completion.

The Commander of the Naval Unit Abuja (NUA), Commodore Tanko Lengaya, guided the CNS and other dignitaries on a tour of the new apartments. The event was attended by Principal Staff Officers from Naval Headquarters, members of the Naval Officers Wives Association (NOWA), and the Naval Ratings Wives Association (NARAWA).
