Nigerian Foreign Minister addresses commonwealth foreign affairs ministers meeting at UNGA 78th

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Nigeria, His Excellency Yusuf M. Tuggar took part in the Commonwealth Foreign Affairs Ministers Meeting (CFAMM) held today on the sidelines of the 78th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA). Chaired by His Excellency Vincent Biruta of Rwanda and graced by the presence of the Commonwealth Secretary General, Right Honourable Patricia Scotland KC, the meeting served as a platform for crucial discussions on global challenges and strategies to foster a better future.

In his address, Minister Tuggar reaffirmed Nigeria’s unwavering commitment to the ideals of the Commonwealth, emphasizing the pivotal roles of peace, security, democracy, and the rule of law in achieving sustainable development.

The Nigerian Foreign Minister highlighted several pressing global challenges, including climate change, terrorism, cybercrime, and other transnational organized crimes.
