NNPC Ltd clarifies Apapa depot fire incident, says operations normalized

According to Chief Corporate Communications Officer NNPC Ltd Abuja Olufemi Soneye, the fire incident occurred at a tank farm belonging to HOGL Energy Ltd. (Honeywell Depot) and not at an NNPC Retail Ltd. facility, as initially reported by early responders.

He said the fire, which was caused by a petroleum product spillage within the tank farm, has been successfully extinguished. NNPC Ltd. confirmed that both its operations and those of other depots in the area have resumed normal loading activities.

Soneye assured the public that the incident will not impact the supply and distribution of petroleum products across the country.
