NSCDC personnel receive keys to 140 housing units

In a bid to improve the welfare and living conditions of its personnel, the Commandant General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Dr. Ahmed Audi, has handed over keys and award letters for more than 140 housing units to cooperative members of the Corps.

Speaking during the distribution ceremony, Audi reaffirmed his commitment to an inclusive welfare package that enhances sustainable livelihoods. He acknowledged the housing deficit challenge among officers and personnel but assured that efforts are underway to provide more affordable housing solutions to improve their working conditions.

Encouraging beneficiaries to make the most of this opportunity, Audi urged them to redouble their commitment to national service.

Assistant Commandant Isa Yusuf, President of the NSCDC National Headquarters Cooperative Society, credited the project’s success to the Commandant General’s vision and unwavering support. He pledged that the Cooperative Executives would continue striving for affordable and comfortable housing options for members.

Following the key presentation, Audi and senior officers proceeded to Good Homes Estate in Kuje, Abuja, for the groundbreaking and foundation-laying ceremony of 102 additional two- and three-bedroom flats.

Dignitaries in attendance included First Bank Airport Branch Manager Mr. Atoika Taimako, AG Mortgage Managing Director Mr. Ngozi Anyagwu, and Integre Brand Ltd Managing Director Engr. Lawrence Okenyi, who all delivered goodwill messages.

The housing units distributed comprise 80 units at Grand Luvu Estate in Masaka, Karu Local Government Area of Nasarawa, 60 units in Dei-Dei, Abuja, and 102 units in Kuje, Abuja, featuring one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and three-bedroom flats.
