Edo State Governor Monday Okpebholo has appointed Barr. Musa U. Ikhilor as Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Dr. Samson Osagie as Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, and Dr. Cyril Adams Oshiomhole as Commissioner for Health.
In a statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to Edo State Governor Fred Itua, the nominations of Dr. Osagie and Dr. Oshiomhole will be sent for confirmation to the Edo State House of Assembly.
Barr. Ikhilor, a seasoned legal expert in legislative governance, holds an LL.B. from Ahmadu Bello University and a Master’s in Telecommunications Law. With over 11 years of experience in legislative drafting and governance, he has held positions advising on constitutional amendments and governance reforms at the National Assembly and the ECOWAS Parliament.
Dr. Samson Osagie, the nominee for Attorney General, brings a wealth of legal experience, including roles in the Edo State House of Assembly and the House of Representatives, where he served as Minority Whip. He holds a Doctorate in Political Economy and Development Studies, along with multiple master’s degrees in Law, Public Administration, and International Relations.
Dr. Cyril Adams Oshiomhole, Commissioner for Health-designate, is a medical professional with a Master’s in Public Health from Tulane University and specialized training in Clinical Research from Harvard and Gastroenterology from Queen Mary University. His appointment aims to strengthen healthcare delivery in Edo State.
