In a landmark decision, the National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) convened its 578th meeting on Tuesday, November 28, 2023, to comprehensively assess the state of the party. Following a thorough review, the NWC has issued a directive calling for the immediate withdrawal of all pending intra-party litigations across the nation.

Debo Ologunagba said this directive is grounded in the provisions of Section 58 (1)(l) of the Constitution of the PDP, as amended in 2017, and is aligned with the overarching principles of unity and reconciliation within the party. The NWC underscores the importance of adhering to the spirit of unity, urging all party leaders, critical stakeholders, and members nationwide to maintain solidarity and uphold the core values for which the PDP is renowned as a truly democratic party.
The NWC deliberated on and subsequently approved the report submitted by the Establishment Committee concerning the appointment of a substantive Director General for the Peoples Democratic Institute (PDI). The identity of the successful candidate will be unveiled in due course.
