Following extensive consultations with stakeholders, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leadership officially announces the rescheduling of the Imo State governorship election campaign flag-off, originally planned for Thursday, September 7, 2023, in preparation for the November 11, 2023 election.
According to Hon. Debo Ologunagba, the National Publicity Secretary and Chairman of the PDP Special National Publicity Committee for Imo, Bayelsa, and Kogi Governorship Elections, this decision stems from a national development that necessitates the active involvement of the Party and key stakeholders in Imo State.
While acknowledging the inconveniences this postponement may cause, the PDP calls upon all leaders, critical stakeholders, and party members, particularly in Imo State, to remain resolute in their joint endeavor to restore safety and prosperity to the state under the leadership of our candidate, Senator Samuel Anyanwu.
Ologunagba assures that the Party will communicate a new date for the formal campaign flag-off in due course. Additionally, the PDP extends its appreciation to the people of Imo State for their unwavering patriotism, courage, commitment, and dedication in supporting our candidate and the Party, setting the stage for victory on November 11, 2023.
