The Kaduna State Police Command has officially denied rumors circulating on social media about an Armored Personnel Carrier (APC) being hijacked by protesters.

In a statement issued on behalf of the Commissioner of Police, the Command Public Relations Officer ASP Mansir Hassan clarified that the incident, as shown in the viral video, involved a group of protesters confronting the APC driver and in response to the tense situation, the driver made a professional and commendable decision to avoid escalating the situation by not using live ammunition.

The Command emphasized that at no point was the APC hijacked or taken over by any unauthorized individuals. The vehicle and its personnel remained under the control of the Kaduna State Police Command throughout the incident.
