President Tinubu mourns the Passing of Justice Emmanuel Olayinka Ayoola

President Bola Tinubu has expressed his heartfelt condolences to the Ayoola family of Ilesha, Osun State, following the passing of Justice Emmanuel Olayinka Ayoola, CON. Justice Ayoola, a retired Supreme Court Justice and former Chairman of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), was celebrated for his distinguished career in law and his unwavering commitment to justice.

Justice Ayoola’s career spanned several decades and included roles as Justice of the Court of Appeal of the Gambia (1980-1983), Chief Justice of the Gambia (1983-1992), President of the Court of Appeals of Seychelles, and Justice of the Court of Appeal of Nigeria (1992-1998). His contributions to the legal profession were marked by integrity, discipline, and a deep commitment to justice.

According to a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity Chief Ajuri Ngelale,  President Tinubu praised Justice Ayoola for his dedication to national service and his exemplary legal acumen. The President also extended his sympathies to the deceased’s associates and the wider Nigerian judicial community, noting that Justice Ayoola would be remembered for his principles, brilliance, and significant contributions to jurisprudence.

President Tinubu offered prayers for the peaceful repose of Justice Ayoola’s soul and for comfort to his family during this difficult time.
