Service Chiefs honour Gen. Musa at colourful pulling out parade in Abuja

The Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu, on Friday, joined other top military leaders at the ceremonial Pulling Out Parade held in honour of the immediate past Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Christopher Musa (Rtd), who retired after 39 years of distinguished service to the nation.

The event, which took place at the Mogadishu Cantonment Parade Ground, Asokoro, Abuja, was attended by the Chief of Defence Staff, General Olufemi Oluyede; the Chief of Defence Intelligence, Lieutenant General Parker Undiandeye; and other Service Chiefs.

The colourful ceremony attracted several dignitaries, including the Governor of Kaduna State, Senator Uba Sani; the Minister of Defence, Mohammed Badaru Abubakar; former Chiefs of Defence and Army Staff, General Leo Irabor and Lieutenant General Faruk Yahaya respectively; as well as senior military officers, Commandants of Defence and Army institutions, Force Commanders, General Officers Commanding, Flag Officers Commanding, and Air Officers Commanding.

Also in attendance were retired senior officers, members of the barracks community, family, friends, and well-wishers who gathered to celebrate General Musa’s exemplary military career and contributions to national security.
