President Bola Tinubu has received an update on the evolving strategic partnership between Nigeria and the People’s Republic of China.
The briefing, held on Monday at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, was led by Mr. Joseph Tegbe, Director-General and Global Liaison of the Nigeria-China Strategic Partnership (NCSP).
Tegbe highlighted ongoing initiatives under the bilateral framework, noting steady progress since the signing of the comprehensive strategic partnership agreement between President Tinubu and Chinese President Xi Jinping. He emphasized key areas of collaboration, including infrastructure, technology, manufacturing, agriculture, education, healthcare, and mineral development.
President Tinubu praised the NCSP team for their efforts in aligning international cooperation with Nigeria’s national development agenda. He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to leveraging the Nigeria-China relationship to drive industrialization and sustainable economic growth.
The President also tasked the NCSP with accelerating the implementation of priority projects that yield tangible benefits for Nigerians, underlining the strategic importance of the partnership in the country’s foreign and economic policy.
The Nigeria-China Strategic Partnership remains central to efforts to unlock investment and foster development across key sectors.
