President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has expressed deep condolences to the government and people of Jigawa State following the recent floods that have resulted in significant loss of life and widespread displacement.
In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Chief Ajuri Ngelale, President Tinubu extended his sympathies to the bereaved families and those affected by the disaster, which has impacted 14 local government areas and numerous households.
The President emphasized the importance of addressing the root causes of such recurring environmental disasters, highlighting the need for sustained efforts to combat climate change and mitigate its effects, including addressing man-made factors that exacerbate these challenges.
President Tinubu offered prayers for the repose of the souls of those who lost their lives and assured the people of Jigawa of his administration’s unwavering support during this difficult time.
