President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has received the 2025 Audited Financial Statement of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd), which reported a profit after tax of ₦7.2 trillion, representing a 33 per cent increase from the ₦5.4 trillion recorded in 2024.
The Group Chief Executive Officer of NNPC Ltd, Engr. Bashir Bayo Ojulari, presented the financial statement to the President at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, accompanied by the company’s Group Chief Financial Officer, Dapo Segun.
The audited results also showed that NNPC Ltd declared a dividend of ₦5.8 trillion and generated total revenue of ₦34.5 trillion for the 2025 financial year.
The figures reflect an increase in the company’s reported profitability and provide an overview of its financial performance during the year ended December 31, 2025.
NNPC Ltd had announced the audited results on September 29, 2026, following its Annual General Meeting and second earnings call with financial and business analysts.
According to the company, the results highlight its earnings performance and operational progress, while providing a foundation for future growth.
The presentation of the audited accounts to President Tinubu underscores the importance of NNPC Ltd’s financial performance to the Federal Government, particularly given the company’s role in Nigeria’s petroleum industry and its contributions to public revenue.
The reported ₦7.2 trillion profit after tax, ₦5.8 trillion dividend and ₦34.5 trillion revenue will remain key indicators for assessing the company’s financial position and contribution to the national economy.
NNPC Ltd’s financial results also place renewed focus on the management of Nigeria’s petroleum resources, corporate accountability and the sustainability of earnings in a sector central to the country’s energy security and public finances.
