President Bola Tinubu has postponed his official visit to Kaduna State to enable a strategic visit to Benue State on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, as part of efforts to address the persistent communal crisis affecting parts of the state.

In advance of the visit, the President dispatched a high-level delegation comprising the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, the National Security Adviser, the Inspector General of Police, intelligence chiefs, and the chairmen of the Senate and House Committees on Defence to the state.

President Tinubu, who has consistently condemned the violence in Benue, has called on all residents and leaders to embrace peace, tolerance, and dialogue. He also extended his condolences to families affected by the violence and pledged federal support to restore stability.

The President’s Kaduna visit, initially slated for Wednesday, June 18, has been shifted to Thursday, June 19, 2025. He is expected to commission several state projects during the rescheduled visit.
