President Bola Tinubu is scheduled to embark on an official visit to the Kingdom of the Netherlands, followed by attendance at a prominent economic forum in Saudi Arabia.
Departing from Abuja on Tuesday, April 23, President Tinubu’s visit to the Netherlands comes at the invitation of Prime Minister Mark Rutte. During his stay, President Tinubu is slated to engage in substantive discussions with Prime Minister Rutte and hold separate meetings with Their Royal Majesties, King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima. Notably, Queen Maxima serves as the United Nations Secretary-General’s Special Advocate for Inclusive Finance for Development (UNSGSA).
Key highlights of President Tinubu’s itinerary in the Netherlands include participation in the Nigerian-Dutch Business and Investment Forum. The forum aims to foster collaboration and partnerships between Nigerian and Dutch conglomerates and organizations, with a particular focus on sectors such as agriculture and water management. Additionally, discussions will center on leveraging Dutch expertise in port management operations.
Following his engagements in the Netherlands, President Tinubu will proceed to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, to attend a special World Economic Forum (WEF) meeting scheduled for April 28-29. The forum, themed “Global Collaboration, Growth, and Energy for Development,” will gather over 1,000 leaders from various sectors including business, government, and academia. President Tinubu and his delegation will utilize this platform to advance discussions aligned with his Renewed Hope Agenda for Nigeria.
Accompanying President Tinubu on these diplomatic missions will be a contingent of ministers and other senior government officials.
