Tinubu to lead Nigeria’s delegation to South Africa for Bi-National commission meeting

President Bola Tinubu will lead Nigeria’s delegation to the 11th Nigeria–South Africa Bi-National Commission (BNC) meeting in Cape Town, South Africa, from November 28 to December 3, 2024.

According to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the commission’s schedule includes a Senior Officials Meeting from November 28 to 30, a Ministerial Meeting on December 2, and the Presidential Meeting on December 3.

The BNC, established to enhance cooperation between Nigeria and South Africa, focuses on key sectors such as defense, science and technology, education, manufacturing, and energy.

This year’s session aims to strengthen bilateral relations, promote trade and investment, and foster socio-economic development in both nations. Additionally, it will explore opportunities for regional integration, stability, and global competitiveness.

Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu, will lead the Nigerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs delegation at the Ministerial Meeting.
