President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will on Friday, September 19, embark on a working visit to Kaduna State as part of his engagements in the North-West.
According to a statement by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President is expected to attend the wedding ceremony of Nasirudeen Yari and Safiyya Shehu Idris. The groom, Nasirudeen, is the son of Senator Abdul’aziz Yari, who represents Zamfara West Senatorial District and a former governor of Zamfara State.
While in Kaduna, President Tinubu will also pay a courtesy visit to Aisha Buhari, widow of the late former President Muhammadu Buhari, at the family residence. The visit, observers say, underscores the President’s continued respect for the Buhari family and his commitment to maintaining close ties with past leaders of the country.
The trip, though brief, highlights the President’s effort to combine state duties with personal and political engagements across the country. He is expected to return to Abuja later on Friday after completing the scheduled activities.
