Troops of the Joint Task Force (North East) Operation Hadin Kai have neutralised 11 Boko Haram and ISWAP fighters in separate encounters in Borno and Adamawa States.
In a statement, Media Information Officer Joint Task Force North East Operation HADIN KAI Lieut. Col. Sani Uba said in the first clash on 15 September, terrorists ambushed Sector 3 troops on patrol along the Baga–Cross Kauwa supply route in Kukawa Local Government Area, detonating an improvised explosive device before opening fire. The soldiers repelled the attack, killing eight insurgents, including two Munzirs and a Qaid, identified as Modu Dogo of Dogon Chukun and Abu Aisha of Tumbun Mota.

Recovered items included 14 motorcycles, AK-47 rifles, ammunition, and other logistics. Two abandoned gun trucks were destroyed by the Air Component of Operation Hadin Kai with support from the Multinational Joint Task Force. No troops were lost.
In a separate operation the same day, Sector 1 troops, supported by Civilian Joint Task Force and local hunters, engaged terrorists at Umbo in Madagali LGA, Adamawa State, killing three and seizing more rifles, ammunition, and a mobile phone.
The Military High Command commended the troops’ resilience and urged residents to support operations with credible information to sustain counter-terrorism successes in the North East.
