In a successful ambush operation early Wednesday, July 24, 2024, Nigerian Army troops deployed for counter-terrorism operations in Kaduna State neutralized two terrorists and captured a cache of weapons and supplies.
Acting on actionable intelligence, the troops executed a well-coordinated ambush along the Tasha-Bwari Road, a crucial corridor connecting Gurara town in Kachia and Kagarko Local Government Areas. The operation, conducted in the pre-dawn hours, saw the troops engage the terrorists in a fierce firefight, resulting in the deaths of two militants, while others fled with gunshot wounds.
The operation yielded significant recoveries, including an AK-47 rifle with a magazine containing 27 rounds of 7.62mm ammunition, two machetes, two mobile phones, and N80,000 in cash, alongside other supplies.
