The U.S. Consulate’s Deputy Public Affairs Officer, Amanda Roach Brown, recently led the Public Diplomacy team on a strategic visit to Port Harcourt, engaging key partners in the educational and cultural sectors.
During the visit, the delegation held productive meetings with the leadership of institutions including the University of Port Harcourt and Wigwe University. The team also hosted sessions highlighting various U.S. educational, professional, and cultural exchange programs available to Nigerian students and professionals.
In addition, the team reconnected with some of the more than 14,000 Nigerian alumni of U.S. government exchange programs and met with cultural stakeholders to explore opportunities for deeper collaboration. The visit reaffirmed the United States’ commitment to strengthening U.S.-Nigeria relations through education and cultural exchange.
