Zamfara State Governor, Dr. Dauda Lawal, has congratulated the newly promoted Assistant Commandant Generals (ACGs) of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), calling the promotion a well-deserved recognition and a call to qualitative leadership. The Governor emphasized the need for the newly promoted officers to serve as role models and lead by example for their subordinates.
Governor Lawal, represented by his Chief of Staff, Hon. Moukta Mohammed Lugga, commended the leadership of NSCDC Commandant General Dr. Ahmed Audi for deploying capable and diligent officers to Zamfara, which has significantly improved the state’s security. He praised the officers as exemplary ambassadors, able to handle their duties efficiently.
The governor also attributed the Corps’ recent successes in tackling security challenges to Dr. Audi’s leadership and urged the newly promoted ACGs to uphold their responsibilities with dedication, efficiency, and effectiveness, in line with NSCDC’s mandate.
During the promotion ceremony at the National Headquarters in Abuja, Commandant General Audi emphasized the merit-based nature of the promotions and expressed gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Minister of Interior, Hon. Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, for enhancing the welfare of NSCDC personnel. He urged the newly decorated officers to continue mentoring their subordinates and remain patriotic in their service.
ACG Oliver Ugwuja, speaking on behalf of the newly promoted officers, pledged to meet the expectations tied to their new ranks. The ceremony also featured the administration of the Oath of Allegiance and goodwill messages from notable guests.
