The Nigeria Police Force has announced the forthcoming graduation of 10,000 recruit constables from various training institutions across the country. This milestone underscores the Force’s commitment to enhancing its personnel strength and improving policing services nationwide.
In a statement, Force Public Relations Officer Force Headquarters, Abuja ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi said the passing-out parade ceremony is scheduled for Thursday, January 23, 2025, and will take place at four Police Colleges and 12 Training Schools. The event will be presided over by the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Dr. Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, as the reviewing officer.
The newly trained constables have completed rigorous physical and mental training, equipping them with the skills and orientation needed to address Nigeria’s complex security challenges while upholding the principles of law and order.
Expressing optimism, IGP Egbetokun highlighted his confidence in the recruits’ ability to uphold professionalism, integrity, and dedication to duty. He emphasized that their deployment is expected to significantly enhance community engagement, improve crime response, and bolster public safety.
Following their graduation, the constables will be posted to various state commands, where they will contribute to local policing efforts and strengthen relationships between the police and the communities they serve.
This development marks another step in the Nigeria Police Force’s ongoing efforts to address security challenges and foster a safer environment for all citizens.
