KACRAN commends Sultan of Sokoto for promoting national unity

The Kulen Allah Cattle Rearers Association of Nigeria (KACRAN) has praised the Sultan of Sokoto and President of the Supreme Council of Nigerian Muslims, Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar III, for his outstanding leadership in fostering peace and unity across the country.

In a statement signed by its National President, Hon. Khalil Bello, KACRAN highlighted the Sultan’s contributions to national cohesion, particularly as he marks a decade on the throne of the Sokoto Sultanate ahead of the holy month of Ramadan.

The association outlined several key achievements of the Sultan’s leadership, including:

  • Reunification of Nigerian Muslims: KACRAN acknowledged his role in bridging longstanding divisions within the Muslim community, ensuring greater unity in observing Ramadan and Eid celebrations.
  • Revitalization of Jama’atu Nasrul Islam (JNI): The Sultan was credited with strengthening JNI, positioning it as a leading Islamic organization in Nigeria and beyond.
  • Inter-regional Harmony: The group commended his efforts in fostering understanding and mutual respect between Nigeria’s northern and southern regions.
  • Principled Leadership: The Sultan was praised for his consistent advocacy for peace, unity, and justice, as well as his non-partisan stance, which has earned him nationwide respect.
  • Receptiveness to Counsel: KACRAN noted his openness to advice that promotes national harmony.

The association urged other traditional and political leaders to emulate the Sultan’s leadership in strengthening national unity. It also extended congratulations on his decade of service and wished him continued success in the years ahead.
