Araraume hails Tinubu’s reforms on birthday

Senator Ifeanyi Araraume has congratulated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his birthday, commending his leadership and reform-driven agenda since assuming office.

In a statement issued on Saturday, Araraume described the President as “a courageous reformer” whose policies are reshaping Nigeria’s economic and governance landscape. He noted that Tinubu’s first year in office has been defined by decisive measures aimed at stabilising the economy and positioning the country for sustainable growth.

The senator identified the removal of the petrol subsidy as one of the administration’s most significant decisions, stating that it reflects a willingness to tackle entrenched structural challenges. He added that the policy has enabled the redirection of public resources toward infrastructure development, social investment, and other priority sectors.

Araraume also lauded the unification of the foreign exchange market, describing it as a critical step toward restoring investor confidence and enhancing Nigeria’s competitiveness in the global economy. According to him, the reform has attracted renewed interest from international partners and underscored the government’s commitment to transparency.

Highlighting infrastructure development, he pointed to the acceleration of major road projects, ongoing rail expansion, and efforts to improve power generation and distribution as indicators of the administration’s long-term development strategy.

On agriculture, the senator acknowledged government interventions aimed at boosting food security, including mechanisation support and targeted programmes to strengthen local production and reduce reliance on imports.

He further praised Tinubu’s diplomatic engagements across Africa and beyond, noting his role in strengthening regional cooperation within the Economic Community of West African States and promoting Nigeria’s interests internationally.

“As we celebrate this milestone, it is important to recognise the resilience and determination with which President Tinubu has approached nation-building,” Araraume said.

He wished the President good health, renewed strength, and continued wisdom in steering the country through what he described as a defining period in its history.
