The Executive Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Mr. Ola Olukoyede, has established a Disciplinary Team to investigate the actions of two officers who allegedly assaulted a female staff member at Regional Hotel in Ojo, Lagos.
The incident, captured in a viral video during a sting operation on June 27, 2024, prompted Olukoyede to order the arrest of the officers.
The officers are scheduled to appear before a joint Disciplinary Team, which includes the Appointment, Promotion, and Disciplinary Committee (APDC) and the Department of Ethics and Integrity, on July 1, 2024, at the EFCC Corporate Headquarters in Abuja. The team will review the case and recommend appropriate disciplinary actions.
Olukoyede emphasized a commitment to holding the officers accountable for their unprofessional behavior.
