NAF Aircraft intercepts oil thieves, destroys illegal refining sites, and eliminates terrorists

In response to increasingly sophisticated tactics by oil thieves and economic saboteurs, the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has enhanced its strategies and technology to effectively counter these threats.
In a statement Director of Public Relations and Information Nigerian Air Force Air Vice Marshal Edward Gabkwet said in Wilcourt, a riverine settlement in the Niger Delta, the Air Component of Operation Delta Safe detected and destroyed three illegal refining sites and seven overhead tanks hidden under dense mangrove vegetation.
Additionally, four boats carrying suspected illegally refined products were intercepted and destroyed. A speedboat with five suspected oil thieves was also pursued and the suspects were apprehended by ground troops.

In a separate operation in Munya LGA, Niger State, NAF air assets targeted terrorists who had rustled cattle from nearby communities. The terrorists, traveling on motorcycles, were intercepted and eliminated. Local residents have positively responded, with many recovering their stolen cattle and resuming their livelihoods.
