A delegation of five senior officers from the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) participated in the 2025 Military Flight Training Conference, organized by Defence iQ in Sardinia, Italy, from March 31 to April 2. The event brought together global aviation stakeholders to explore strategies for enhancing training efficiency and cost-effective solutions in military aviation.
Reaffirming the importance of training in air power development, Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Hasan Bala Abubakar, highlighted the role of human capacity in national defense. “An air force’s strength is not just in its aircraft, but in the people who wake up every day ready to defend the nation, no matter the cost,” he stated.
Led by Air Vice Marshal SK Aneke, the NAF team included instructor pilots and an artificial intelligence (AI) expert, demonstrating the service’s commitment to innovation and strategic collaboration. Discussions at the conference focused on integrating advanced technologies, enhancing interoperability, and developing industry-supported training initiatives.
The conference provided NAF officers with a platform to exchange knowledge with international counterparts and gain insights into emerging trends in military flight training, reinforcing Nigeria’s efforts to optimize operational effectiveness through cutting-edge training methodologies.
