NNPC/FIRST E & P JV launches health outreach in 11 Bayelsa communities

In a bid to improve healthcare access, the NNPC Ltd/FIRST E & P Joint Venture (JV) has conducted its 2025 health outreach across 11 KEFFESO communities in Bayelsa State.

According to Chief Corporate Communications Officer NNPC Ltd., Abuja Olufemi Soneye, the initiative, aligned with the Petroleum Industry Act (PIA) 2021 and the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts, provided critical medical services to thousands of residents from January 29 to February 1, 2025.

The KEFFESO communities—Koluama 1, Koluama 2, Ezetu 1, Ezetu 2, Foropa, Fish Town, Ekeni, Sangana, Opu Okumbiri, Okumbiribeleu, and Oginibiri—benefited from the outreach, which aimed to tackle pressing health challenges.

NNPC/FIRST E & P JV operates OML 83 (Anyala Field) and OML 85 (Madu Field) in the shallow waters of the Gulf of Guinea, off Bayelsa’s coastline. The company reaffirms its commitment to sustainable community development and improved healthcare delivery.
