The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) FCT has expressed its appreciation to Mr. Kefas Agbu, the Executive Governor of Taraba State, for appointing one of its own members, Emmanuel Bello, as Special Adviser on Media and Digital Communications. In a press statement released in Abuja on Tuesday, the commendation was jointly signed by Comrades Oseratin Osadebawen and Ochiaka Ugwu, the Acting Chairman and Secretary of the council respectively. They highlighted that Bello’s appointment was well-deserved, considering his extensive experience in the media industry.
Throughout his career as an editor in various media organizations, Bello has consistently raised the bar in terms of performance, integrity, and the credibility of Nigerian media. The NUJ FCT believes that his wealth of experience will significantly contribute to managing the media image of the Executive Governor and Taraba State during this crucial time of national development.
Governor Kefas Agbu’s decision to appoint Bello, who previously served as Commissioner of Information and demonstrated exceptional skills in running issue-based and unrivaled media activities, showcases the governor’s intellectual depth.
NUJ FCT extends its best wishes to Emmanuel Bello for a successful tenure in office and hopes that he will use his position to encourage and promote issue-based discourse that will set the agenda for the development of Taraba State.
