In a significant development for maritime security, Forward Operating Base BONNY successfully intercepted and impounded a wooden boat carrying illegally refined Automotive Gas Oil (AGO) on Monday, May 6, 2024. The operation, part of the ongoing Operation DELTA SANITY, took place in Okrika, Rivers State, Nigeria.
The interception led to the apprehension of two suspects who were allegedly involved in the illegal transportation of the contraband. The suspects were promptly arrested and are now in custody pending further investigation.
