President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Thursday reiterated his commitment to building a stable, peaceful, and prosperous nation, assuring Nigerians that their welfare remains the central focus of his administration.
Speaking at the State House in Abuja while receiving a delegation of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors led by Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, the President said ongoing political and economic reforms are aimed at dismantling long-standing structural constraints and expanding opportunities for citizens.
He emphasised that his administration is realigning the economy to enable broader participation and inclusive growth, particularly for poor and vulnerable groups.
Also present at the meeting were Vice President Kashim Shettima and the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, alongside several state governors and key political stakeholders.
President Tinubu urged members of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors to intensify grassroots mobilisation and public sensitisation on government reforms, noting that citizen participation is critical to national development.
“You represent the conscience of a nation determined to break free from poverty and hopelessness,” he said.
The President reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to democratic principles, including the rule of law, separation of powers, and respect for the judiciary, stressing that adherence to these values is essential for nation-building.
“There is no path to national greatness other than a shared vision for progress and prosperity,” he added.
Tinubu also dismissed opposition criticisms, urging Nigerians not to be swayed by misinformation, and expressed confidence in the long-term benefits of ongoing reforms.
He assured the delegation of his resolve to remain steadfast, describing his leadership as driven by a vision to create opportunities for youth and ensure equitable development across all regions.
Earlier, Governor Uzodimma, who also serves as Director-General of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, briefed the President on the group’s nationwide activities, including grassroots mobilisation, data-driven enrolment, and engagement with markets, schools, and community platforms.
He said the initiative is already yielding measurable political and civic outcomes, with structures established across local governments and wards.
Former Katsina State Governor, Aminu Bello Masari, commended the President’s reform efforts, acknowledging the initial challenges often associated with transformative policies but describing them as necessary for long-term national progress.
Similarly, former Delta State Governor, Ifeanyi Okowa, former Senate President Anyim Pius Anyim, and other political leaders delivered goodwill messages, expressing support for the administration’s agenda.
In his remarks, APC National Chairman Yilwatda praised the administration’s infrastructure drive, attributing ongoing projects nationwide to the impact of recent policy reforms.
The meeting drew participation from serving and former public office holders, underscoring growing political backing for the administration’s economic and governance reforms.
