In a decisive and coordinated operation, gallant troops of Operation Hadin Kai launched a simultaneous land and air assault on terrorist positions in Bita, Borno State, in the early hours of today. The intense battle resulted in the neutralization of at least 60 terrorists.
According to military sources, the operation was carried out following actionable intelligence on the location of the terrorists’ hideouts. The troops, supported by air assets, engaged the terrorists in a fierce firefight, successfully dislodging them from their strongholds.
The coordinated efforts of ground forces and air support ensured the success of the operation, with minimal casualties on the side of the military. In addition to the neutralized terrorists, several weapons and ammunition were recovered during the mop-up phase of the operation.
This latest offensive underscores the military’s resolve to eliminate terrorism and restore peace in the Northeast region.
