The University of Abuja (UofA) is set to resume full academic activities on Monday, July 29, 2024, following the conclusion of the local chapter of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) strike.

In an official announcement, Acting Vice-Chancellor Professor Aisha Sani Maikudi expressed gratitude for the students’ patience and understanding during the strike. She acknowledged the challenges faced by the students and assured them of a seamless transition back to regular academic activities.

All students are required to return to campus by the weekend in preparation for the resumption of lectures. Full-time classes will commence promptly on Monday. Faculty members have been instructed to resume their teaching responsibilities and provide any necessary support to students.

The university administration is committed to maintaining a conducive learning environment and will ensure all necessary resources are available to facilitate academic pursuits. Students are encouraged to utilize available support services, including academic advising and counseling.

“We thank you for your understanding and cooperation and look forward to welcoming you back to the University,” stated Professor Maikudi.
