The FCT Police Command, Pegi Division, arrested Rahimat Salaum on suspicion of murdering her partially paralysed husband. Acting on credible intelligence, officers apprehended Salaum at approximately 6:00 p.m. as she attempted to flee with her husband’s belongings in a mini truck.
In a statement FCT Police Public Relations Officer SP Josephine Adeh said upon interrogation, Salaum confessed to the murder, revealing that an argument had escalated into violence. She led police to an uncompleted building where she had disposed of her husband’s burned body.
The investigation continues, and FCT Commissioner of Police, CP Benneth C. Igweh, assured the public that justice will be served.
