In a bid to bolster security and ensure the safety of residents, the Katsina State Police Command has announced a substantial reward of fifty million naira (N50,000,000:00) for any individual providing valuable information leading to the arrest of two notorious bandit kingpins.
In an official statement the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of the state command ASP Abubakar Sadiq Aliyu said these kingpins, known as “Modi Modi” and “Jan Kare,” are currently operating within the Kankara and Safana Local Government Areas of Katsina State.
He said the safety and well-being of Katsina State residents remain a top priority for the state government and law enforcement agencies. The Katsina State Police Command, along with sister security agencies, are committed to taking decisive action against criminal elements that threaten the peace and stability of the state. This significant reward underscores their dedication to ensuring justice prevails and emphasizes that security is a collective responsibility.
Aliyu further stated that this initiative aims to bolster security operations in the state and crackdown on the nefarious activities of these criminal elements. The identities of informants and the information provided will be treated with utmost confidentiality to ensure their safety and protection.
He urged all concerned citizens are to step forward with any relevant information that could aid in the apprehension of these masterminds behind the reprehensible crimes of kidnapping and banditry. Together, the community can work towards making Katsina State safer for all its residents.
