President Bola Tinubu has extended his congratulations to Nigeria’s table tennis star, Aruna Quadri, for winning the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) Africa Cup title.
Quadri secured a decisive victory in the final match of the 2024 ITTF Africa Cup held in Rwanda, reclaiming his title and reaffirming his status as Africa’s premier table tennis player.
According to his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity Chief Ajuri Ngelale, President Tinubu lauded Quadri for his relentless pursuit of excellence despite significant challenges, highlighting the athlete’s determination, resilience, and innovative problem-solving abilities as hallmarks of the Nigerian spirit.
The President also reflected on the recent achievements in Nigeria’s sports sector, citing outstanding performances in the African Games, the Africa Cup of Nations, and the World Relay Championships. He affirmed his administration’s commitment to nurturing the growth and development of sports nationwide.
President Tinubu reassured Nigerians of his administration’s dedication to creating more opportunities across various fields for the country’s talented youth.
