Vice President of Nigeria, Kashim Shettima, on Saturday 14th September attended the grand finale of the All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial campaign in Benin City, Edo State.
The event, held at the University of Benin Sports Complex, saw Shettima urging Edo residents to back APC candidate Senator Monday Okpebholo in the upcoming election.
In his address, Shettima highlighted the need for a “strategic thinker, a builder, and a man of the people” to lead the state, emphasizing that Senator Okpebholo fits that profile. He called for unity, stressing that the collective desire for a functional Edo State should take precedence over differences.
The rally was attended by several key political figures, including Governors Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq (Kwara), Hope Uzodinma (Imo), Babajide Sanwo-Olu (Lagos), and others, along with National Assembly members and party stalwarts.
